Waiting For Trial
by Richard Reed
10/9/1997
The nightmare continues, tormenting my soul, it’s never ending work, rising out of this hole.
I just wish to live in peace, the devil’s trials never to cease.
I feel like the Indians, my dreams taken, my life shaken.
Should I stay and fight, or flee and find a new way,
The loneliness gives me strength, but it is not without its cost,
The price of defending my life is high as reminded everyday by my sighs.
I envy the happy people of this world for I am not among them.
I will always be alone in my soul.
